HOw It started

Rupp’sLeatherLids started when I bought my first leather fire helmet for my own personal helmet. I decided to repaint it myself, and that experience sparked my interest in working with leather fire helmets.

After that first restoration, I began buying more worn and damaged leather helmets so I could practice repairing, painting, and bringing them back to life. With every helmet, I kept learning and improving my skills.

Today, every helmet I work on is personally repaired and repainted by me with attention to detail, giving leather fire helmets a fresh look while preserving the character that makes them unique.
